A Message From the Mayor

It is a pleasure and an honor to serve as Mayor in the town of Kentwood, Louisiana. I thank God and I thank our people for the opportunity. I am committed to being a full-time mayor for our town and dedicating my time in helping City Council Members and our People to make Kentwood a better place to live. Kentwood and its people are important to me because ‘home is where my heart is’! My main goal is to always allow God to lead and guide me in All that I do, as I strive to help improve the overall Quality of Life for the people of Kentwood.

First and foremost comes our citizen’s safety and well-being. It is important that we feel safe whether we’re in our homes or out on daily routines; and this is why I work hand in hand with our Police Department and their Chief. The town’s ordinances are strictly enforced, and I am committed to working on the Updating process accordingly.

As the Kentwood Business Community strives for growth, I am committed to supporting, scouting, developing and maintaining all aspects that are necessary for our Economic Growth. Working together to bring in new businesses for our town is a must and we are starting to see progression. In addition, I am continuing to work closely with the Public Works and Maintenance department as they diligently increase their efforts to clean-up, maintain and enhance our town. Still, there’s good news: our Youth Sports Program is off to a great start and our Seniors Activities are keeping busy year-round.

Everything that has been accomplished thus far has been a team effort, with all of us working together. Kentwood is OUR town and it will take us ALL to make the change happen. I invite you to come by the Mayor’s office with any concerns, and we’ll talk about it.  Also, we are seeking Volunteers of all sorts for our town; so stop in as well so that we can decide what YOU can do to help.  Let us remember that “We can do all things through Christ, which strengthens us”.
